Focus is an amazing album, racked with beauty.I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Focus’ really is amazing. It has been six years Stan Getz’ last studio CD, “Focus” which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Another great offering from Stan Getz.
This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Pan is probably one of Stan Getz’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. When listening to I Remember When, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. The opening track Night Rider is very much like you would expect from other albums. Once Upon A Time is a fine track on any terms. This track is clearly meant to showcase Stan Getz’s vocal abilities. I’m Late, I’m Late (45 Rpm Issue) which is my favorite is a truly Stan Getz sounding song. I now have I Remember When (45 Rpm Issue) as one of my personal favorites.
