There is no doubt that Stan Getz has talent. IF YOU LIKE ALL Stan Getz’S SONG GO FOR IT! After debuting at No. 1 last week, Stan Getz’s album The Bossa Nova Years (Girl from Ipanema) CD3 falls to No. 2 with 482,000, a sales slide of 88%. Exciting stuff.
Doralice is the albums biggest surprise. Para Machuchar Meu Cora (To Hurt My Heart) is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. A fantastic track full of wonder. There is marvelous mix of music in Corcovado (Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars). So DanSamba (I Only Dance Samba) - Okay, I just talked about depth. O Grande Amor is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Vivo Sonhando (Dreamer) (2:57) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! This track is clearly meant to showcase Stan Getz’s vocal abilities. Voice and instruments in It Might as Well Be Spring complement each other. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Only Trust Your Heart rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Telephone Song hits the heart. One Note Samba has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album.
