Tony Bennett sings Down In The Depths in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Moonlight In Vermont (2:48) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. This track is full of harmonies and gets Here’s to the Ladies off to a relaxing start. I think God Bless The Child is the best song Tony Bennett has ever done. Daybreak - Check out that bassline! Tony Bennett breathes new life into the music in You Showed Me The Way. In My Ideal Tony Bennett is at his best. Cloudy Morning actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Tony Bennett’s face. Daybreak is the more seemingly obscure song on Here’s to the Ladies that bear up best to repeated listening. Lyrics of Down in the Depths are precise and evocative. I Got Rhythm is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. I’m in Love Again - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Maybe This Time is the funkiest number on the album. Get Here’s to the Ladies and turn on Moonlight in Vermont if you are going to sip your wine late at night. My Ideal has a fun tempo. My Love Went to London - a classic song.
