Self-described as Pop: Latin with lots of words, Azucar Moreno comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Azucar Moreno’s debut, ‘Amen’, does not fit easily into one genre. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Azucar Moreno energies, virtually a rebirth. One of Azucar Moreno’s best albums yet.
Abracadabra is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Azucar Moreno released so far. I find myself hearing bits of Mamma Mia here and there throughout my waking hours. El Amor Se Echa De Menos sets the tone for the entire album. Tururu is the song that really did it for me. Piel De Seda is a perfect sing-along. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Once you hear Dale Que Dale, you will listen to it over and over. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. This is one hell of a track. When listening to Amigo Mio, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Viva La Vida is a very catchy tune.
