‘Music Of The Deserts’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Zakir Hussain’s debut, ‘Music Of The Deserts’, does not fit easily into one genre. nine years ago, Zakir Hussain briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “The Great Indian Desert”. Such great and happy songs.
When I listen to The Great Indian Desert in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Ladakh, The Ice Desert - Okay, I just talked about depth. Desert Heartbeat is another favourite of mine. The song feels complete. Nomads is beautiful, yet underrated track.
