Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Devin The Dude’s new album to that on ‘To Tha X-Treme’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Devin The Dude’s album To Tha X-Treme falls to No. 2 with 745,000, a sales slide of 77%. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘To Tha X-Treme’ really is amazing. Unappreciated gift to Pop
One of the songs that always stick in my mind is To The X-Treme because the melody in the chorus is so good. I can’t stop playing Kooter Brown. Devin The Dude is hitting on all cylinders in What?. Devin The Dude rocks harder than ever with Freak. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Too Cute (feat. Erica Morton) is a great opener for To Tha X-Treme. Don’t Go is the song that really did it for me. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Come On and Come. Go Fight Some Other Crime marked the continuation of Devin The Dude in style evolution. Briar Patch - A strong beat. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Anythang is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Motha is probably the most interesting track on To Tha X-Treme. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Party (feat. KB Man Child) is my favorite song on To Tha X-Treme. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Unity For U and Me.
