Platinum All-Time Favorites is an amazing album, racked with beauty. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Sesame Street energies, virtually a rebirth. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Platinum All-Time Favorites’ really is amazing. Platinum All-Time Favorites is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
No Sesame Street song has come close to capturing my attention as ABC-DEF-GHI did. Such hits like The People In Your Neighborhood will leave you hooked. Opening track Rubber Duckie shows the best of Sesame Street. Some of the arrangements found on Platinum All-Time Favorites are surprisingly edgy. Doin’ The Pigeon is the album’s biggest hit, I think. “C” Is For Cookie is a strong cut, one of many. The sound in I Don’t Want To Live On The Moon is really warm and Sesame Street’s signature voice is still very much present. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Happy Tappin’ With Elmo make listening to Sesame Street like being in some sort of time warp. In Fuzzy And Blue (And Orange) it becomes nowhere more obvious that Sesame Street has yet to define own style. Only one song from Platinum All-Time Favorites named Bein’ Green really got me. So much energy, so exciting a sound. What Do I Do When I’m Alone? (2:28) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! One Fine Face is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. I Love Trash is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. This song may be the most meaningful. I can’t stop playing Put Down The Duckie. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.
