two years ago, Vladimir Cosma briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “”. Lead single “Le Telephone Rose” and “” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Vladimir Cosma’s new album to that on ‘Le Telephone Rose’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
