After seeing Le Grand Rabbi, I had to have a good Vladimir Cosma cd. Vladimir Cosma had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. While no new Vladimir Cosma album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1973 tour in Africa. This album is a scorcher!
L`envol is probably one of Vladimir Cosma’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Les Maramouches is a strong cut, one of many. I find myself hearing bits of Rue Des Rosiers here and there throughout my waking hours. Excellent vocals and musical performances. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Vladimir Cosma. There is exquisite mix of music in Le Rabbi Dechaine. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Moto En Folie on Les Aventures De Rabbi Jacob (Film De Gerard Oury) is solid and easy to listen to. Lyrics of Chewing-Gum Attack are precise and evocative. L`envol Final is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
