Since Glenn Miller last CD (Major Glenn Miller - The Lost Recordings Vol. 1) on Mute Records back in 1944, I have felt a massive void in my life. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Glenn Miller has. When you buy a Glenn Miller album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Stardust is a gorgeous song and it grows on you. Long Ago and Far Away is the first taste of the new album. Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Glenn Miller has astounded me with this amazing track. All of songs on Major Glenn Miller - The Lost Recordings Vol. 1 and have something to say letting alone Summertime. Tuxedo Junction - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Begin The Beguine is the most memorable and astounding. Anvil Chorus is the albums biggest surprise. Some of the arrangements found on Major Glenn Miller - The Lost Recordings Vol. 1 are surprisingly edgy. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is My Heart Tells Me. Only one song from Major Glenn Miller - The Lost Recordings Vol. 1 named A String Of Pearls really got me. Stromy Weather one of the best in my collection. Music and lyrics of Poinciana creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Glenn Miller breathes new life into the music in All I Do Is Dream Of You. I like Where Or When because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Cow Cow Boogie is beautiful, yet underrated track.
