Ivan Grach has compared writing for Glenn Miller’s new album to that on ‘Major Glenn Miller - The Lost Recordings Vol. 2′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Farewell Blues is really a nice song to relax and listen too. I’ve Got A Heart Filled With Love For You Dear is the more seemingly obscure song on Major Glenn Miller - The Lost Recordings Vol. 2 that bear up best to repeated listening. Caribbean Clipper is a good listen every once in a while. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Glenn Miller. Little Brown Jug (3:08) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I listened to the opening track Holiday For Strings and liked it a lot. Strong, powerful vocals of Glenn Miller in Tail End Charlie are very impressive. Begin The Beguine defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. I like the agression and power of Everybody Loves My Baby. Jeep Jockey Jump (3:12) a good melody. Great Day - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot is one of my favorite songs by Glenn Miller. Body and Soul - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Beat Me Daddy, Eight To The Bar is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Major Glenn Miller - The Lost Recordings Vol. 2 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Get Happy. Moonlight Serenade - Okay, I just talked about depth.
