This is one of the best Cd’s Glenn Miller has dropped to date. Glenn Miller had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. On The Glenn Miller Story album, Glenn Miller have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Smart music for smart people.
Tuxedo Junction is beautiful, yet underrated track. I’ve found myself listening to Little Brown Jug back to back and back many times. Listening to St. Louis Blues March you can hear that Glenn Miller has still amazing chemistry with band members. A great put together song. In The Mood - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Astring Of Pearls has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Pennsylvania 6-5000 is really the reason why I recommend buying The Glenn Miller Story. American Patrol is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Otchi-Tchor-Ni Ya is probably one of Glenn Miller’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to.
