Mila Sparrow has compared writing for Michel Sardou’s new album to that on ‘Olympia 71′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. There were many famous songs of Michel Sardou available. Since completing 1971’s ‘La Corrida N’aura Pas Lieu’, Michel Sardou fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Michel Sardou ever.
I listened to the opening track Laisse-Moi Vivre and liked it a lot. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: J’habite En France, which shows, blatantly, how much Michel Sardou has evolved as a singer. I believe La Colombe (Restera-T-Il Encore) is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. Les Ricains is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Je T’aime, Je T’aime - My least favorite song on this album. Le Rire Du Sergent actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Michel Sardou’s face. Michel Sardou has astounded me with this amazing track. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Get Olympia 71 and turn on Les Bals Populaires if you are going to sip your wine late at night.
