It has been fifteen years Michel Sardou’ last studio CD, “Olympia 75″ which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Since completing 1975’s ‘J’ai 2000 ans’, Michel Sardou fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I am not a real Chanson music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Olympia 75′ really is amazing. One of Michel Sardou’s best albums yet.
Le surveillant general is outstanding work of Michel Sardou. Un enfant is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. In Zombi Dupont Michel Sardou spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Les vieux maries is absolutely incredible. Le cure is astounding. You have to get essence of the Les ricains’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Une fille aux yeux clairs is one of the best records ever. Still going through Olympia 75 and coming to appreciate Une fille aux yeux clairs (reprise) more and more with every listen. Les villes de solitude - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. A unique and uplifting song. Le temps retro is one of my favorite songs by Michel Sardou. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Le bon temps c’est quand is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot.
