Welcome the Night isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. John Digester has compared writing for The Ataris’s new album to that on ‘Welcome the Night’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Now signed to The Ataris’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Welcome the Night” leads The Ataris’s back-to-school campaign. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Cardiff By The Sea
Cardiff By The Sea - Okay, I just talked about depth. New Year’s Day is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Charming song, great melody. One listen to the sheer beauty of Cheyenne Line was all I needed. Still going through Welcome the Night and coming to appreciate And We All Become Like Smoke more and more with every listen. Connections Are More Dangerous Than Lies is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Whatever Lies Will Help You Rest catches attention immediately, All of songs on Welcome the Night and have something to say letting alone Far From The Last Last Call. When All Else Fails It Fails is worth the money. Soundtrack For This Rainy Morning is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Begin Again From The Beginning is a medium tempo tune. The sound of Act V Scene IV And So It Begins is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
