Since completing 1979’s ‘A Perfect Love’, Pussycat fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Pussycat. Since Pussycat last CD (Symply To Be With You) on Capitol Records back in 1979, I have felt a massive void in my life. Overall, I would highly recommend Symply To Be With You CD.
Listening to Alleghenny you can hear that Pussycat has still amazing chemistry with band members. This is one hell of a track. Desperado has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Pussycat. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. La Bamba one of the best in my collection. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Let Freedom Range because the melody in the chorus is so good. Pussycat must have run out of lyrics on the next track Light Og Gipsey. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Pearls A Singer is probably the highlight of the album. Simple and heartfelt closing track Strangers In Town closes Symply To Be With You on a high note. In Styll On My Mind full palet of sound is used by Pussycat to accentuate the presentation. The Wals Of Xanadu - another great track from the Symply To Be With You album. Three Steps actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Pussycat’s face. A fantastic track full of wonder.
