After seeing la chacarera, I had to have a good Carlos Gardel cd. Carlos Gardel’s debut, ‘Todo Gardel 1923 vol.2′, does not fit easily into one genre. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Carlos Gardel energies, virtually a rebirth. If I may, I suggest “la chacarera”. That one song is amazing!
|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. In mi refugio you won’t find any flashy solos. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. la cuyanita have really caught my ear and imagination. This track is a great song that still never gets old. This song is dynamic and dramatic. I loved la danza the first time I heard it. Within the first few notes of alma port4ena it’s perfectly clear that Carlos Gardel is living this song. el rey del cabaret is a marvelous song and it grows on you. tendras que llorar (2:57) a good melody. viejecita mia as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Carlos Gardel has astounded me with this amazing track. clarita is outstanding work of Carlos Gardel. I can’t stop playing se va y se va. padre nuestro is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Music and lyrics of eche otra cana pulpero creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it.
