There is no doubt that Carlos Gardel has talent. Since completing 0’s ‘Talan talan’, Carlos Gardel fulfilled their contract with EMI Records and where under no obligation to release another album. After seeing Talan talan, I had to have a good Carlos Gardel cd. Carlos Gardel “Todo Gardel 1924 Vol.2″ is an amazing album.
Yo tuyo soy tuyo es mi amor is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Cascabelito is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Adios que te vaya bien actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Carlos Gardel’s face. Sueno marchito is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Pobre amigo is so unique, as each one of the songs is. El templo de Venus is a strong cut, one of many. Within the first few notes of Perdoname Senor it’s perfectly clear that Carlos Gardel is living this song. This track is clearly meant to showcase Carlos Gardel’s vocal abilities. I listened to the opening track Congojas and liked it a lot. La enmascarada - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Todo Gardel 1924 Vol.2 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track El alma que siente. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. El besito (2:27) a good melody. Aunque me cueste la vida is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. There is cool mix of music in Poupee de Stamboul. When listening to La cabeza del italiano, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.
