It’s natural for Carlos Gardel to take a stab at ‘fea’ considering her long-professed love for EMF. Todo Gardel 1925 Vol.3 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since completing 0’s ‘fea’, Carlos Gardel fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Overall, I would highly recommend Todo Gardel 1925 Vol.3 CD.
perdon viejita - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. If you are a Carlos Gardel fan, you will love la cancion del ukelede. When listening to caricias, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Although salve patria is very melodic it is far from sad. flor de cardo is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Carlos Gardel released so far. pasan las horas gives good insight into the truths. I was truly moved when I heard el picaflor. Only one song from Todo Gardel 1925 Vol.3 named silbando really got me. hola srta is one of the more up-tempo songs on Todo Gardel 1925 Vol.3. el zaino colorado is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. maniqui is astounding. llora corazon - Carlos Gardel first major hit. acuarelita is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. sonia is another favourite of mine. Carlos Gardel is one of artists that allow his songs like langosta to stand on their own and be heard. The song sonando ending is my favorite… so catchy! This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Todo Gardel 1925 Vol.3.
