Self-described as Pop with lots of words, Carlos Gardel comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is the first studio album from Carlos Gardel since bad diagnosis in 0. After seeing buenos aires, I had to have a good Carlos Gardel cd. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Carlos Gardel ever.
What sets aromas del cairo apart is Carlos Gardel’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. In corazon depapel full palet of sound is used by Carlos Gardel to accentuate the presentation. As always, Carlos Gardel’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. senda florida - arguably the best track on Todo Gardel 1930 Vol.1 album. cartas viejas is astounding. pajarito - This one is lively and fun. mi noche triste is a bit different from Carlos Gardel stereotypical stuff. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: vieja recova, which shows, blatantly, how much Carlos Gardel has evolved as a singer. I think contramarca is the best song Carlos Gardel has ever done. dicen que dicen marked the continuation of Carlos Gardel in style evolution. Nice and different song. enfunda la mandolina is one of the coolest songs Carlos Gardel has ever recorded. la mariposa is perfect. Although rosal de amor is very melodic it is far from sad. viejos smoking - A catchy, upbeat tune. primero campanela is Carlos Gardel’s best work in years. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Todo Gardel 1930 Vol.1. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. la pena del payador - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Overall a nice softer song. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. el cardo azul is another favourite of mine. Carlos Gardel offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself.
