While no new Ella Fitzgerald album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1961 tour in Australia. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Ella Fitzgerald. Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie! carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Overall, I would highly recommend Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie! CD.
Nice and different song. My Reverie - A strong beat. Charming song, great melody. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Put Jersey Bounce into car stereo for your highway driving I like Signing Off because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Good Morning Heartache has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Listening to (I Was) Born to Be Blue you can hear that Ella Fitzgerald has still amazing chemistry with band members. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Spring Can Really Hang You up the Most is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Music Goes ‘Round and Around as a highlight of Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie! contains a ton of excellent melodies. The One I Love Belongs to Somebody Else (*) gives taste of what makes Ella Fitzgerald special as a musician. I Got a Guy (*) is another favourite of mine. This Could Be the Start of Something Big (*) one is one of the better boring ones.
