Caravan is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Take the “A” train is probably the highlight of the album. Overall a nice softer song. Once Clementine gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think I didn’t know about you is my favorite song on Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Duke Ellington Song Book (CD1) CD1. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Lost in meditation is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better. Perdido is outstanding work of Ella Fitzgerald. Opening track Cottontail shows the best of Ella Fitzgerald. Nice and different song.
