There is so much to love about Ella Fitzgerald, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It has been ten years Ella Fitzgerald’ last studio CD, “Sings the Cole Porter Song Boo” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. IT makes me wanna dance!
Music in Anything Goes is astounding as in all tracks of Sings the Cole Porter Song Boo. I think Miss Otis Regrets is the best song Ella Fitzgerald has ever done. Too Darn Hot is so unique, as each one of the songs is. In the Still of the Night is a marvelous, simple song by Ella Fitzgerald at the top of his game. In I Get a Kick Out of You Ella Fitzgerald is at his best. I was truly moved when I heard Do I Love You?. Always True to You in My Fashi one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. I came to like Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall in Lov. Just One of Those Things is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye - I like this one. All of You is exquisite song though, very addictive. This is probably my favorite song on the album. I now have Get Out of Town as one of my personal favorites. I Am in Love the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. From This Moment On to me is the best you can get from Ella Fitzgerald. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. You Do Something to Me which is my favorite is a truly Ella Fitzgerald sounding song. Ella Fitzgerald sings his heart out in Ridin’ High. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Ella Fitzgerald is one of artists that allow his songs like It’s All Right With Me to stand on their own and be heard. When listening to Why Can’t You Behave?, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. This song is dynamic and dramatic. As always, Ella Fitzgerald’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Love for Sale is a excellent song and it grows on you. This is one hell of a track. Overall a nice softer song. Listening to Ace in the Hole you can hear that Ella Fitzgerald has still amazing chemistry with band members. After few listenings I started to like So in Love more and more. I’ve Got You Under My Skin - Check out that bassline! Voice and instruments in I Concentrate on You complement each other. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely.
