Lead single “Too Marvelous For Words” and “Early Autumn” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Ella Fitzgerald was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Ella Fitzgerald and The Jerome Kern Songbook together. This album has some very good songs like Too Marvelous For Words and Early Autumn. This album is a scorcher!
Early Autumn is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Day In, Day Out pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Blew our minds when we first heard Laura. Ella Fitzgerald sings his heart out in This Time The Dream’s On Me. Skylark is outstanding work of Ella Fitzgerald. Single ‘O is really the reason why I recommend buying The Jerome Kern Songbook. Something’s Gotta Give is a song to enjoy for years to come. There is gorgeous mix of music in Trav’lin’ Light. Ella Fitzgerald has astounded me with this amazing track. Dream - arguably the best track on The Jerome Kern Songbook album. In I Remember You Ella Fitzgerald is at his best. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is When A Woman Loves A Man because the melody in the chorus is so good.
