Shiina Ringo’s debut, ‘Heisei Fuzoku’, does not fit easily into one genre. There is no doubt that Shiina Ringo has talent. It’s natural for Shiina Ringo to take a stab at ‘01 Japan Title’ considering her long-professed love for KLF. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Heisei Fuzoku.
I can’t stop playing 02 Japan Title. 03 Japan Title is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Heisei Fuzoku have ended. No Shiina Ringo song has come close to capturing my attention as 04 Japan Title did. MANGOS - My least favorite song on this album. 06 Japan Title is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Voice of Shiina Ringo in 07 Japan Title is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. 08 Japan Title has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. It took me a little time but I ended up loving 09 Japan Title. When I listen to 10 Japan Title in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. 11 Japan Title is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. First time I heard 12 Japan Title was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.13 Japan Title is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion.
