This is the first studio album from The Shadows since bad diagnosis in 1967. Jigsaw isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This album has some very good songs like Jigsaw (Stereo) and Tennessee Waltz (Stereo). Unappreciated gift to Instrumental
The sound in Tennessee Waltz (Stereo) is really warm and The Shadows’s signature voice is still very much present. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Cathy’s Clown (Stereo) - I just love it. After about the third Stardust (Stereo) listen through, I began to believe this song is The Shadows’s essence. Album opener Semi Datached Suburban Mr. James (Stereo) is a bright, upbeat ditty. This is probably my favorite song on the album. This track is full of harmonies and gets Jigsaw off to a relaxing start. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. I like to sing along with Waiting For Rosie (Stereo), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Chelsea Boot (Stereo) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. All of songs on Jigsaw and have something to say letting alone Maria Elena (Stereo). It’s such an underrated song. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin.
