This disc has all of the essential Brenda Lee classics. Now signed to Brenda Lee’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “All The Way” leads Brenda Lee’s back-to-school campaign. There is no doubt that Brenda Lee has talent. This album is awesome.
All The Way has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. If you are a Brenda Lee fan, you will love Dum Dum. What sets On The Sunny Side Of The Street apart is Brenda Lee’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Talkin’ ’bout You - For me, this is the best of the album. Someone To Love Me (The Prisoner’s Song) is simple, dignified and effective, Brenda Lee refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. This is probably my favorite song on the album. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Within the first few notes of Kansas City it’s perfectly clear that Brenda Lee is living this song. Eventually is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Speak To Me Pretty is probably the highlight of the album. The Big Chance is probably the most interesting track on All The Way.
