Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Runrig on ‘Year Of The Flood’. This album has some very good songs like Year Of The Flood and Roadtrip. It’s natural for Runrig to take a stab at ‘Year Of The Flood’ considering her long-professed love for Madonna. IT makes me wanna dance!
I believe Roadtrip is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. Clash Of The Ash - another great track from the Everything You See album. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Atoms has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. An Dealachadh is so unique, as each one of the songs is. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Sona gives taste of what makes Runrig special as a musician. I like Something’s Got To Give because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. And The Accordians Played is the more seemingly obscure song on Everything You See that bear up best to repeated listening. In Scandinavia (4:55) - awsome.
