This is one of the best Cd’s No Mercy has dropped to date. Mila Sparrow has compared writing for No Mercy’s new album to that on ‘Widespread Bloodshed - Love Runs Red’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of No Mercy energies, virtually a rebirth. Exciting stuff.
It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: I’m Your Nightmare, which shows, blatantly, how much No Mercy has evolved as a singer. Controlled By Hatred - A classic No Mercy track. No Mercy sings Day Of The Damned in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. No Mercy is one of artists that allow his songs like Master Of No Mercy to stand on their own and be heard. Although Crazy But Proud is very melodic it is far from sad. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. My Own Way Of Life is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Waking The Dead - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.
