two years ago, Googoosh briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Fasle tazeh”. John Digester has compared writing for Googoosh’s new album to that on ‘Fasle Tazeh’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Googoosh’s debut, ‘Fasle Tazeh’, does not fit easily into one genre. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Fasle tazeh is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Darigh has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Googoosh’s strong vocals come to the fore. The opening track Pishkesh is very much like you would expect from other albums. I listened to the opening track Shekaiat and liked it a lot. Taghdir is the song that really did it for me. There is exquisite mix of music in Parandeh. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Agha jun is my favorite song on Fasle Tazeh. Mikham arum begiram is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Adam va havva is another strong production from Googoosh.
