On Mardi Gras album, Creedence Clearwater Revival have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Mardi Gras is an amazing album, racked with beauty.There is no doubt that Creedence Clearwater Revival has talent. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Take It Like A Friend is absolutely incredible. Need Someone To Hold is a good listen every once in a while. Tearin’ Up The Country is one of the best records ever. Someday Never Comes is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Creedence Clearwater Revival released so far. What Are You Gonna Do is simply perfect. Creedence Clearwater Revival sings Sail Away in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Hello Mary Lou - I just love it. Door To Door catches attention immediately, It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song.
