Willie and The Poor Boys carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Creedence Clearwater Revival’s debut, ‘Willie and The Poor Boys’, does not fit easily into one genre. IF YOU LIKE ALL Creedence Clearwater Revival’S SONG GO FOR IT! I Love Willie and The Poor Boys from start to finish!
It Came Out Of The Sky (2:57) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Music of Cotton Fields is gentle, never overbearing. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Feelin’ Blue is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Fortunate Son is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Willie and The Poor Boys. Don’t Look Now is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Once you hear The Midnight Special, you will listen to it over and over. Side O’ The Road - A nice song. Effigy is simple, dignified and effective, Creedence Clearwater Revival refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more.
