After debuting at No. 1 last week, Lil Rob’s album Uncut for the Calles Mextape Vol. Uno (Bootleg) falls to No. 2 with 389,000, a sales slide of 80%. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Lil Rob on ‘Stuck with You Ft. Fingazz (Snippet Only)’. Lil Rob “Uncut for the Calles Mextape Vol. Uno (Bootleg)” is an amazing album.
Lyrics of Volver are precise and evocative. Hard Times Ft. Slow Pain, Ese Daz & 1 Down had me crying as I was able to relate so well. It’s such an underrated song. Truth or Consequences Ft. Clicka One presents the amazing mix of instruments on Uncut for the Calles Mextape Vol. Uno (Bootleg). West Coast Ridaz Ft. Frost & Diamonique is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Uncut for the Calles Mextape Vol. Uno (Bootleg) have ended. Lil Rob’s in the House is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Get Your Feria Ft. Baby Bash has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Got Weed Ft. Nasty - Okay, I just talked about depth. What You See Ft. Gemini & Carmen Sandiego is a exquisite song and it grows on you. A great put together song. Three Amigos Ft. Low G & Chocstilli - I like this one. Form the SD to H-Town Ft. Lucky Luciano is the more seemingly obscure song on Uncut for the Calles Mextape Vol. Uno (Bootleg) that bear up best to repeated listening. For the Streets Ft. Lil J the Mex Connect gives good insight into the truths. Get Back Ft. T-Weaponz (2:45) - awsome. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Mi Vida Loca (Cisco Kid Flow) Ft. Ese Daz of Spanish Fly is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Pocos Pero Locos Intro Ft. Khool Aid is the song that really did it for me. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Bring it Back as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Clear is another favourite of mine.
