This album has some very good songs like The Real Folk Blues and Odd Ones. Yoko Kanno had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. On Cowboy Bebop album, Yoko Kanno have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Cowboy Bebop is the best essence of Yoko Kanno.
Simple and heartfelt closing track Odd Ones closes Cowboy Bebop on a high note. I can’t stop humming along Doggy Dog. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Yoko Kanno sings Spy in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Piano Bar is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Yoko Kanno has astounded me with this amazing track.
