Reuben James is cool work of Kenny Rogers. After you’ve listened to Sunshine, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Vocals of Kenny Rogers in Homemade Lie really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Always Leaving, Always Gone - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Kenny Rogers. Kenny Rogers rocks harder than ever with For the Good Times. All God’s Lonely Children is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Greatest Hits (cd2) is Lay it Down. What am I Gonna Do is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Tulsa Turnaround still maintains something of a specific flourish. This song may be the most meaningful. Musically Camptown Ladies is superior to other tracks in Greatest Hits (cd2). This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Good Lady of Toronto.
